Ahliana Dickey was shot and killed on Friday, June 14, by a family member, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said.
Lowell police received a 911 call just after 6 p.m. after the girl was found inside a Lawrence Street apartment with multiple traumatic injuries to her body, authorities said. Investigators found multiple shell casings near her body.
The family told Boston25 that Ahliana was supposed to graduate from eighth grade on Friday but died before the event.
Police have not released any other information about the shooting.
